HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am looking forward to a new year of fun and laughter with my family. I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends and for my family. New Years eve was fun for us David's sister Kimberly and her husband Andreas flew in to town to spend a few days with us. This is the only picutre I got of the night because Kim and Andreas took McKaella and a friend to the mall, Jennifer slept over at a friends house and David had to go to bed early because he had to be at work at 3:30 in the morning. The picture is of Rebekah, Andreas and one of our cats. I hope that everyone had a safe and Happy New Year.

Christmas Morning Continued

Christmas morning dawned bright and early for our family. Every year our kids get up and come into our room where we read the Christmas story as a family it has been a great tradition and one that helps the girls remember what Christmas is really about. This year David decided that he wanted to try and keep the present opening calm and slow, welllll you can imagine how well that worked. Rachel and Rebekah were so funny when they dumped out their stockings and saw their new toothbrushes all they wanted to do was go brush their teeth. After we got them settled down with a present they opened their new blocks and didn't want to do anything but play with the blocks. As the rest of the family continued to open gifts Rachel decided it looked like more fun than the blocks and just started opening presents at random. We all had a good laugh and lots of fun as a family.

Christmas Day

Christmas is a time of joy and giving, but nobody ever warned me about the mess!!

These are some pictures of our yard with the snow falling. The last is a picture of the mountains in Henderson.

Oh the weather outside is frightful....Yes, it can snow in Las Vegas. We had two days of snow and for Las Vegas standards we actually had a fair amount of snow. The girls even got a snow day.

Christmas

The month of December flew by so fast I didn't even have time to stop and think or do much else but get ready for Christmas. In early December Jennifer's Honor Choir had an outside performance at the "Festival of Lights" in our neighborhood and by Las Vegas Standard it was coooold. It was a lot of fun they had face painters, balloon animal makers, Santa came, of course their was food and a group of old cars. It was a very windy day. Jennifer is the blond on the top row.
